Ansul R102 System For The Cooking Area

Ultra supplies the Ansul 102 Suppression System as an invaluable resource for detection and extinguishing fires in commercial kitchens. Primarily used for protecting cooking equipment, extract canopy and ductwork, the System suppresses fires by spraying the cooking area, filters, surfaces and the exhaust ducts with Ansulex liquid at a predetermined flow rate. Major fast food outlets utilise Ansul within their kitchen applications, and Ultra are registered distributors of Ansul products.

How it Works

Ansul R102 reacts with a fat fryer fire in an ingenious way.

  • Ansulex cools the grease and creates a soapy foam on its surface in a process known as saponification
  • The foamy layer acts as insulation between the hot grease and the atmosphere
  • The escape of inflammable vapour is prevented and the fire suppressed

R102 NozzleThe R102 System conforms to NFPA standards 17, 17a and 96 and is UL300 listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc . The system can be supplied with nozzles, detectors, cartridges, liquid agent, fusible links, pulley tress and elbows as required for the specific application.
