Fire suppression systems are built specifically around our customer’s requirements, and are designed to protect critical assets and life safety. Systems from Ultra will function in the correct manner provided that the performance is not hindered by the integrity of the protected area i.e. its capability to hold gas. This is so important that annual integrity tests are required by NFPA 2001 and British Standard ISO 14520, which often form part of regular maintenance procedures.
Testing the integrity of the protected area becomes a vital task for any maintenance manager, to ensure that the area is well sealed and the extinguishing agent does not escape, which may cause the fire to re-ignite.
Minimal disruption to the occupants, an integrity test only takes around 1 hour to complete and a protected area can be tested at any time.
